For Those Who Have Hurt Me
Lord Jesus, you who forgave from the cross
those who crucified you,
teach me to forgive.
For those who have hurt me with words or deeds,
I pray: give them peace.
For those who are difficult for me to love,
I pray: give me a larger heart.
Do not let me nurture grudges,
nor feed resentment.
Heal in me every bitter root,
and restore to me the joy of following you
with a light heart.
Amen.
