For Peace
Lord, God of peace,
hear our prayer.
So many times humanity
has known war and division.
So many times our hearts
have closed themselves to forgiveness.
Touch the hearts of those in power
that they may choose peace.
Touch our hearts
that we may learn the path of forgiveness.
Do not let hatred have the last word.
May peace blossom in our families,
in our cities, in every nation.
